Round timber
The wood is measured and evaluated qualitatively in the round timber sorting plant. The qualitative assessment is done by selected, extra-trained employees.
Our round timber products:
- Firewood in spruce and larch
- Pulpwood
- Larch mine timber
Our quality criteria in the wood purchase
Fresh, healthy, straight – these are the criteria, which we look for in the wood. Hutter sawmill processes predominantly spruce as well as smaller quantities of arolla pine and larch. Our main lengths are 4 to 4.5 m with a diameter of 10 cm end up to 80 cm centre diameter. Hutter sawmill basically buys all round timber assortments.
