Passion for wood as a raw material
Visions in wood are pursued with HUTTER sawmill since 1958 as well as with HUTTER wood industry since over 30 years. We, as an Austrian company from the Salzburger Lungau region, see ourselves connected with the region and face the international market openly. Our machinery is state-of-the-art.
HUTTER sawmill is equipped with a chipper line, a flexible double arbour circular saw and a block band saw. Thanks to these technical facilities, we can produce almost any dimension of timber and deliver the same on time. The timber capacity is over 60,000 m³ per year. There are around 40 employees.
Sawmill
Due to the specialisation in sawn softwood, predominantly spruce as well as larch and arolla pine are processed.
Our products are characterised by high quality as well as smooth operation and an unbureaucratic ordering system.
High-tech and reliability when measuring
The sorting of the round timber takes place directly in the factory. The wood is measured and evaluated qualitatively in the round timber sorting plant. It is then sorted into boxes and collected in tumblers. The qualitative assessment is done by selected, extra-trained employees.

We produce quality timber in the sawmill as prismed goods, edged goods, unedged goods, square timber, pallet goods, packaging material and shorts.
Our cut timber dimensions:
- Length: 3 – 5 m (mainly 4 m)
- Board thickness: 10 – 120 mm
- Board width: 80 – 300 mm
